I apparently scared/impressed a couple onlookers today by backing into a parking space at my school in one shot which the people passing thought was too narrow for my car. In reality, it was plenty wide, but a friend of mine who was walking in front of the car got really wide-eyed, and her friend said something along the lines of, "Holy crap, I thought he was gonna hit that other car!" And when I got out of the car, a 3rd person called me a "great parker." It's the little things that make my day.

Spot mirrors, people. I know they belong on Grandma's Avalon, but trust me, they work.

Nice. Once I paralleled like a bawss into a teeny tiny lil spot...this guy was walking by and he was like "dayum...that's better than I can do!".

As for backing in...mirrors are de best.

Backing up in the Escape is PITA sometimes, I can see nothing past the beltline. Visibility is a lot better than the Odyssey though.
